Marcia Harris began writing poetry at an early age. The great outdoors, her experiences while traveling stateside and abroad, and troubled relationships have been the inspiration for much of her poetry. Besides writing, she enjoys tennis, hiking, snow skiing and advocating for animals, which she feels are terribly exploited in the factory farming industry and for the sake of fashion and entertainment.
Harris resides in Franklin, Tennessee with her son. Denver, a dog, Sunny and a cat, La-a. Tears of the Soul is Harris’ first published work of dark-tinged and insightful poetry. She is currently working on her second book of poetry.
