Sex on the Altar by Wencke Braathen

Sex on the Altar Wencke Braathen
A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups... Built on satire and a robust prose, Sex On The Altar by Wencke Braathen is the first volume in the Adventures of Sam and Emily series, a debut that sings a sultry tale of power, faith, and mystery. The story blurs the line between the seen and unseen worlds as God and mythological deities interact with humans in a commentary about modern life.

The Queen of Heaven has been sucked into the center of the earth due to man’s lack of devotion, and God is beside himself with grief. Something has to be done. God puts his trust in the Ancient Egyptian goddess Isis, - she puts hers in a middle-aged woman named Emily. Sparks will fly with the help from the gods, as Emily and her new beau Sam’s lovemaking awakens the Queen from her slumber. But it isn’t until Virgin Mary starts her Dandelion Campaign, and Jesus and Mary Magdalene are on a bus to Nashville, that the fate of mankind changes course.
Sex on the Altar is available in traditional print and eBook formats at fine online retails such as Amazon, Amazon Canada, Amazon UK, Barnes and Noble, Google Books, Scribd, and Smashwords.

Tears of the Soul the Poetry of Marcia Harris

Tears of the Soul the Poetry of Marcia Harris
Marcia Harris began writing poetry at an early age. The great outdoors, her experiences while traveling stateside and abroad, and troubled relationships have been the inspiration for much of her poetry. Besides writing, she enjoys tennis, hiking, snow skiing and advocating for animals, which she feels are terribly exploited in the factory farming industry and for the sake of fashion and entertainment.

Harris resides in Franklin, Tennessee with her son. Denver, a dog, Sunny and a cat, La-a. Tears of the Soul is Harris’ first published work of dark-tinged and insightful poetry. She is currently working on her second book of poetry.

This untimely work of beautifully crafted poetry is available on Amazon.

Haunted Nashville at the Southern Festival of Books

Grave Distractions Publications will be representing the owners of Nashville Ghost Tours Kim and Frankie Harris' book Haunted Nashville at this year's Southern Festival of Books.

Haunted Nashville unravels the mysteries surrounding some of Music City's most recognizable landmarks.  Who has been ringing the bells at St. Mary's Catholic Church in the dead of night?  Is Andrew Jackson's spirit still riding his ghostly stallion through his plantation home, the Hermitage?  Why have there been reports of ghostly fighting at the State Capitol?  Learn of the terror in room 711 at the Union Station Hotel and in Civil War morgues and hospitals that still bear phantom forms of Confederate soldiers.  Decide for yourself if Hank William's apparition is still performing at the Ryman Auditorium.  Nashville's tragic love stories and grisly murders are as fascinating as the haunted tales themselves!
